About
Hi, I’m Matt.
I help people get AI working on the jobs that suck up their time. I’m the person you’ll talk to on the chat, and the person who’ll do the work with you.
Where this comes from
Growing up in Nelson, I ran on talent. I played hard and competed hard, but I never trained with any real intent. Then my First XV coach told me straight. If I wanted to keep up, I needed to become a real athlete, not just a talented one.
What landed was what sat underneath it. The gap between where I was and where I could be was a design problem, and design problems have solutions.
That took me to university, then through a decade in elite sport, most recently as the Head of Performance for the Wellington Lions. The biggest thing I learned is that the environment does most of the coaching. Get the routine right, and doing the right thing becomes the easy thing.
Why AI?
In elite sport, the best players get a whole system built around them. Coaches, nutrition, analysts, the lot.
Most people doing important work get none of that. Their thinking is the best thing they bring, and it gets buried under admin.
AI is the first tool I’ve seen that can take that admin off people at a scale that matters. So I do the same job I did in sport. I build the system around the person, so their best work gets the time it deserves.
What I’ve built
The AI Advantage. A hands-on programme that takes people from their first prompt to AI running steps of their real work. I’ve run it as a full-day workshop and as talks.
A way to make it stick. Right fit, reps on real work, and backing so it holds up after I’ve gone. Checked at day 30, 60 and 90. It’s what the 90 days run on.
A straight answer on what’s safe. A simple way to decide what can go into which AI tool, and which steps a person should always check. I teach it in every workshop and build to it on every job.
Why Headwork?
Because the thinking is the best part of most jobs, and it’s the part people never get enough time for. AI can do a lot of the legwork, like drafting, sorting and chasing. The headwork is what you get back.
How I work
I start with the job that’s costing you, then pick the tool. Usually it’s one you already pay for.
AI makes whatever’s already there faster, including the mess.
You’ll have something useful in the first week or two, not the first quarter.
Talks and workshops

I run talks and hands-on workshops for business teams, leadership groups and community groups.
If you’ve seen me speak and want to keep going, the 90-day programme is the next step.
Want one for your team or group? Mention it on the chat.

Let’s talk about it. Thirty minutes, free, and I’ll tell you straight whether I can help.
